Red Lion announces the release of the cellular modem card GSM / GPRS for the Data Station Plus, the Modular Controller and G3 HMI.

These new cards can communicate via GSM or GPRS, providing unprecedented connectivity for remote and mobile wireless applications.

The Data Station Plus, the Modular Controller or HMI G3 can already communicate via a cellular modem, but only externally. By integrating card XCGSM or G3GSM within the interface, Red Lion has established a reliable, easy to configure for data management applications remotely. The module uses a card "SIM" standard, allowing customers to choose their own provider.

Once connected to a cellular network, customers can take advantage of powerful features.

* Tele-control: The Web server allows clients to monitor and control processes in real time via Internet Explorer ™ or a simple PDA.

* Remote alarm: The messaging function provides warning in case of failure of the process through SMS and e-mail.

* Tele-record: The data logger in CSV, record performances and events of the process or production. Repatriate your data through a PDA or phone with internet access via GPRS, then download the data you've recorded via tele-phone PDA, on your PC. Finally exploit Excel.

* Remote maintenance: The feature port sharing allows many PLCs and other devices to be reprogrammed remotely.

* We manage the Dyn DNS directly in the software programming Crimson, allowing direct communication with a single favorite from your browser on your PC or PDA.
