Available from Resolve Optics Ltd the new Model 290 Motorised Non-Browning PROFESSIONAL CCTV Professional zoom Lens incorporates a range of useful features to assist operation in environments subject to radiation such as nuclear power generation stations.

The compact 6x optical tracking zoom uses special glass that can withstand long term exposure to high levels of radiation (up to a total dose of 100,000,000 rads) and temperature (55 C) without discoloration. All three functions of the Model 290 are motorised and include slip clutches and electronic noise suppression which enables the 290 to be used as a direct replacement for the Fujinon 12-72mm (6x) non browning zoom lens.

Operating at f/1.8 for most focal lengths the lens provides high image resolution and minimum geometric distortion from 400 - 750 nm. The high-performance Model 290 CCTV Zoom Lens has been designed for use with single chip 1/2" and 2/3" Industrial cctv cameras as well as Newvicon and Chalnicon tubes. Typical monitoring applications for the Model 290 will include nuclear fuel handling operations, professional reactor active zones and nuclear waste storage plants.

By using a novel telescopic focusing mount the lens gives a large movement in an extremely compact form. This provides the lens with the capability to image objects from 800mm to infinity without using add-on adapters. When focused at infinity the lens achieves high image resolution on axis at full aperture throughout the zoom range without refocusing (image tracking).
