We are pleased to announce that 2007 was another highly successful year for the SAI Group. Turnover keeps on increasing as the Group recorded an increase of 20% year on year. This growth is in line with the aims of the SAI Group, to double the turnover of 2007 by 2010. 2007 was characterised by some particularly outstanding events for the whole SAI group: in April, the BAUMA fair industrial saw the launch of the integrated hydrostatic transmission developed in co-operation with ZF, whilst in December, came the announcement of the official opening of the new, Cape Town based, South African branch. Also during 2007, the Chinese branch made major strides in the improvement and the modernisation of the Shanghai manufacturing plant, originally opened in 2005. We are pleased to announce the great advances made by SAI Shanghai as it increasingly occupies a more dominant position in the domestic Chinese Market. All of our subsidiaries achieved great results in 2007, and hopefully this positive trend will be improved again in 2008! Coming back to the Italian based operations. ASPA and OLIO are showing great improvement in technological services and advanced process control systems, whilst R&D had a great year! Many potential partners in the Mechanical and Hydraulic fields have shown great interest in establishing industrial relationships to help them achieve the improvement in their own products that using the research and development expertise, that R & D has to offer, can bring!
All in all the SAI Group goes from strength to strength.
