Accuracy is paramount in metrology. Because the data collected from measurements has to be processed, however, whether in databases, spreadsheets or quality assurance systems, however, the conclusions derived from measured data and the techniques for processing it are crucial. Up to now, users have had to carry out a number of operations on data transferred from measuring instruments to computer, to enable further electronic evaluation.
Now, with the highly flexible SartoCollect communications software, complicated data transfer is a thing of the past. SartoConnect transfers all measured data from measuring equipment (e.g. weighing instruments, moisture analysis and ph measuring instruments) to a PC and stores it as MS Excel, Word, Access or ASCII files for further processing. The program also offers professional keyboard emulation for integrating measured data in the active application (such as SAP). Furthermore, SQL functions are available for database linking, as well as an integrated VBA script editor for complex applications and industrial controls. All instruments, regardless of brand or model, can be networked over RS-232, Bluetooth, or TCP/IP. Up to 99 devices can be operated at once on the network; for example, to process data for a common Excel project.
