In a TV set manufacturing company a man needs to handle 4 different types of LCD tv sets, weighing max 35 kg. The manual handling required the operator a non ergonomic effort and unsafe movements. The problem has been solved with a pneumatic rail mounted professional manipulator PN series by Scaglia INDEVA. Now the operator lifts the tv set by means of the manipulator end effector equipped with vacuum pads and rotates it by 90° efortlessly. Then the operator completes the LCD tv set with its frame: he can use both his hands, whilst the load is kept still and stable by the manipulator; afterward he rotates the lcd tv set again and places it in its container.
