The well-known failure switch-off function on the modular contact blocks of the type series M... is now also available for the type series D...(modular contact blocks with Cage Clamp supplier connections) and A... (standard contact blocks with Faston terminals). These patented safety contact blocks for emergency stops are the response to the danger that may emmanate from a faulty connection of contact block and emergency stop, e.g. by a careless assembly or a mechanical damage. The safety contact block ensures that in such a case the emergency-stop signal is released automatically, switching off the installation immediately, which can only be started up again after trouble-shooting.
The safety contact blocks have positive opening contacts acc. to IEC 60947-5-1, they can be supplied with one or two channels and with emergency stop acc. to EN60947-5-5 and EN 418. The high-quality contact elements allow switching of high and low currents (from 10 A at 400 V down to 5mA at 24V and lower). The safety contact block is also available as slave for the AS-Interface Bus, safety@work.
