For hard-to-access mounting situations.
With the ZSM 476, the Schmersal Group presents a latching position switch with multiple contacts for use both in elevator technology and in general machinery construction.
The position switch with safety function features an electrically triggered reset function. When the switch is actuated, the actuating plunger latches, thus opening or closing electric circuits. The switch does not automatically return to its original position; this must be intentionally reset. This reset operation can be either manually operated or through an electric signal.
For difficult areas of access or minimal space – the remote reset function makes the ZSM 476 an ideal option over other conventional switch types. The contact trip value of only 0.3 mm and a low triggering force of 6 +/-2 N, ensures the ZSM 476 can be used for safety-critical applications, e.g. speed governors of elevators.
To distinguish from the previous model, the new ZSM 476 is available with a variety of roller and angled levers which make the series more universally suitable over a wide range of applications. With an IP 67 protection class the switch range is ideally suitable for humid or dusty environments.
Different switch inserts with a maximum of three NC contacts are available. A combination of two NC contacts and 1 NO contacts are also available. Voltage supply options are 24V, 110V and 230V.
Similar to conventional standardised switches, the robust thermoplastic enclosure is only 30 mm wide; furthermore the switch has the same mounting dimensions. The connection cable can be supplied on a choice of three sides of the housing. With the advantages of numerous selection possibilities and the high protection class, the ZSM 476 is an attractively priced alternative to the currently available ZSM 241 series.
