Siemens has awarded SchuF Germany a contract for a new coal gasification technology. This new gasification process uses coal as a dry feed and the SchuF control valves manufacturer are used to depressurize the resulting gases in a two phase process.

SchuF is now a leading supplier of feed and let down control valves for the gasification industry having provided solutions for all major gasification processes. These include the Lurgi/Sasol, GE Energy/Texaco, and Shell processes.
