STA Centrifugal Separators combine with new micro-filter ClearTube SEPARATOREN TECHNIK
cleaning and recycling of process liquids. With STA centrifugal separators finest
particles as well as tramp oil are removed without any use of filtering aids.
The new back-flushable filter candle ClearTube filters particles at a size of down to 1 to 3 microns and completes STA's product range: The separator dries the
periodically back-flushed solids; in addition it is cleaning the liquid in parallel to the filter, hence increasing the system's flow rate. Thus the sludge is collected in dry and pure form, in a single point.
Unlike standard paper-based candle or cartridge filters the ClearTube is not only
perfectly suited for the filtration of grinding oil for tooling steel or tungsten carbide, but also for water or emulsions. Oil contaminated by tramp water can be filtered without problems. ClearTube’s flow rate of 3 to 5 l/min per candle makes it one of the most performing filters available and helps reducing the number of candles needed. It’s special tissue made from glass fibres shows are remarkable backflush efficiency, which increases life of the candle drastically. In terms of maintenance and exchangeability the filter proves user friendly: the candles are not screwed-in from below, but simply inserted from top; exchanging the candles is therefore fast, clean and doesn’t require lifting tools.
STA plans, builds and installs complete filtration systems, which are successfully
used not only for coolant recovery in mechanical industry, but in many other areas such as vibratory finishing, parts cleaning or coating.
