Today, there are four SETCO Spindle Lubricants that service the precision spindle markets. These new high performance greases provide a substantial increase in the reliable operating speed of the spindle, or enable running at the same speed and reducing operating temperatures. Generally, it has been shown that higher operating temperatures reduce spindle bearing grease life by 50% for every 15 degrees Celsius in running bearing temperature. The new line of SETCO SSL greases typically adds 50% more service life to the grease, and therefore the spindle manufacturer of bearings. These new greases use advanced chemical formulations to enable our spindles to run faster, longer, and professional cooler for a competitive edge that no other spindle manufacture can offer.

SETCO SSL-02 is special high performance grease exclusively manufactured for precision high speed industrial ball bearing applications operation up to 2million DmN (Speed in RPM X Bearing Mean Diameter) with a service temperature range of -50°C to 120°C.

For more conventional spindle application utilizing precision ball bearing spindles we offer SSL-03. SSL-03 is rated for spindle speeds up to 1.5 million DmN and replaces the previously used SETCO SSL-01 product.

For lower speed spindles utilizing line contact cylindrical or tapered caster bearings we offer SSL-04 providing a service temperature ranting of -35°C to 140°C.
