Mr. Dr. Ernst Schnabel founded in 1934 his company to produce rubber hoses and rubber lined pipes. The first site was located in Berlin, and moved to Limburg in 1945. Around 1960 Dr. Schnabel was the first company in Europe with its own paste extruded PTFE processing – the brand name POLYFLURON® was created. In 2007 SGL acquired Dr. Schnabel – now the PTFE center of competence for BL PT. Dr Schnabel is specialized in PTFE lined pipes and PTFE bellows to be used in Extremely corrosive application (such as Chemical plant, pharmaceutical application)
