tested simalube® lubrication system in its elevators for some time now. The system, comprising a simalube® lubricant dispenser and the patented, spring-loaded brush set, is used as standard in glass and goods elevators and in elevators that are subject to heavy use.
Cost-efficient and clean
The benefits of the simalube® lubrication system are obvious to service manager Lorenz Witschi: "The fact that the lubricant is dispensed continuously along the
guide rails means that there is no longer any need for oiling or greasing between maintenance cycles. This saves our servicing experts a lot of time, which in turn saves us a lot of money." A further advantage of the system, according to Witschi, is the fact that the simalube® lubrication system is so clean. "Thanks to the lubrication system, contamination of elevator cabins, glass roofs or elevator shafts has become a thing of the past. We have also gotten rid of unpleasant accumulations of oil or oil binders in the shaft pit," explains Lorenz Witschi.
Easy to install
The service engineers appreciate the fact that the simalube® lubrication system is quick and easy to install. The slits on the adapter plate mean that the brush head can be easily adjusted for any rail width. This makes initial installation just as simple as retrofitting the system. "The lubrication system can also be fitted in any position. The additional components, such as angle pieces and hose connection systems, mean that there are practically no limits on where we can install the system," explains Lorenz Witschi enthusiastically.
Ideal lubrication for elevators
The simalube® lubrication system makes a clear improvement to the smooth functioning of the elevator. Thanks to the felt that has been built into the brush set, a regular film of lubricant is applied via the brush bristles on to the guide rails without drips, avoiding any contamination in and around the elevator
itself. As Lorenz Witschi explains: "Using the simalube® lubrication system on elevators, we are able to tackle any problems professionally and expertly rather than just delay them." The dispensing time of the simalube ® unit can be varied between one and twelve months. Depending on the frequency of use and height of the elevators, the dispensing units are set for a period of between six and twelve months.
