SKF, the leading global supplier of products, solutions and services in the area comprising rolling bearings, seals, mechatronics, services and lubrication systems has launched the SKF High Load Wide Temperature Bearing Grease LGWM 2. This grease is specially developed for lubrication of bearings under high loads and temperatures from very low to medium.
SKF offers a wide range of bearing greases each specially formulated for the respective field of application. SKF LGWM 2 is formulated with a highly refined semi-synthetic base oil and a complex calcium sulphonate thickener.
Additional properties of this grease include excellent water resistance and corrosion protection, good false brinelling protection and an outstanding mechanical stability as well as a very good pumpability, which make it most suitable for using in centralized lubrication systems. Indeed, this is the first low temperature grease included within the available range for the SYSTEM 24 single point automatic lubricators (LAGD and LAGE Series).
Typical applications include bearings under vibrating conditions, Y bearings and Spherical roller thrust bearings under high loads and low temperatures, as well as machinery working in tough environmental conditions exposed to high humidity, corrosion, even if the temperature can widely change from very low (-40°C, -40°F) to medium (Up to 110°C, 230°F) as off-road machinery in mining industry, marine applications or winter sport centers.
