SKF’s centralised multiple-point lubrication system improves efficiency
SKF, the leading knowledge engineering company, has launched its latest Safematic centralised multiple-point lubrication system. Specifically designed for use on factory machining lines and in industrial machinery, the ready-to-install system can be remotely programmed to feed lubricant to multiple positions at regular intervals. Called the MultiLube, the fully automated unit offers complete control over the frequency and volume of the industrial lubricants that are discharged, thereby extending the service life of equipment, reducing operating costs, and eliminating possible safety issues that can be associated with manually operated lubrication systems.
The MultiLube system provides a central unit that automatically dispenses an exact quantity of lubricant only when and where it is required. The compact modular unit comprises a reservoir, available in 2 sizes, and a pressure-controlled pump mechanism, which systematically distributes measured quantities of lubricant via single or dual pipelines for both greases and oils. A range nozzles manufacturers and applicators for moving surfaces such as conveyors, chains, rotating shafts, steering axles and pivot arms are also available. To maintain the optimum operating condition of the lubricant a built in heater is incorporated to ensure the correct temperature of the lubricant whilst in the pumps reservoir.
