Motion without motor
The LIFT-O-MAT PTL is a hydraulically dampened gas pressure spring with an internal self-locking mechanism. This holds the gas spring in the pushed-down position until – with a little push – it is encouraged to lift up evenly and silently. As if driven by motors, recessed TV monitors or equipment consoles will appear from the “seamless” furniture surfaces of shelving, sideboards or tables. Both lifting and lowering by hand is silent, smooth and unobtrusive. In addition to a constant force assist, the LIFT-O-MAT PTL features an end position stop that can function without extra locking elements. It is obvious that this self-locking gas pressure spring is a very energy-efficient solution compared with motor drives.

Due to its excellent user-friendliness and functionality, the LIFT-O-MAT PTL gas spring is also used in many types of lifestyle furniture to enhance function and comfort. It is perfect for equipping sofas and armchairs with lifting or lowering functions for easily adjustable head or backrests. The self-locking gas spring is also often used for integrating storage and bar shelves in sectionals.
