STENFLEX Rubber Expansion Joint type Ai with PTFE-lining STENFLEX
The expansion joint consists of a flat-waved bellows whose inner surface is lined with a seamless fluorine synthetic material with a sealing seam. The resistance to temperature is related to the typical base property of the rubber quality, namely max. +90 °C. The resistance to aggressive substances such as acids and lyes is ensured by the PTFE inliner. Even extreme temperature fluctuations are safely dealt with by PTFE.
PTFE is neutral to taste and smell, guarantees a surface which repels foreign matter and therefore is ideal for application in the pharmaceutical and food processing industry. The operating pressure of this expansion joint is maximum 10 bar.
In brief:
- suitable for the transport of aggressive media
- very good chemical resistance
- resistant to most acids and lyes
- compensates for axial, lateral and angular movements
- reduces thermic and mechanical tensions
- absorbes vibration and noise
- reduces assembly imprecision
