The SpacePak series consists of a thru beam system; a diffuse proximity sensor; a retro reflective sensor; a polarised retro reflective sensor and a background suppression sensor.

The proximity and background suppression detection, in order to meet market requirements, are now both available with an increased range. The range of the SPP (proximity sensor) has been increased from 3 metres to 5 metres while the SPBS (background suppression sensor) is now available with a 2 metre range.
These increased range models are available in addition to the standard types and do not replace them. As with the original models, the sensors are housed in an IP 67 sealed, compact 50 x 50 mm housing, with either cable or rotatable plug connection. There is switch selectable light or dark function; potentiometer manufacturers adjustable 0 – 10 sec on/off time delay and sensitivity adjustment via integral potentiometer.
The new type numbers are SPP 2x05 and SPBS 2x02 respectively. All other technical data remains entirely unchanged.
