Testo breaks the 200 million Euro barrier TESTO

Double-figure growth and up to 80 new jobs planned in Germany for 2012
Titisee, 16th of January 2012 – Testo AG's turnover climbed to roughly 209 million Euros in the past year 2011. That means approximately 10.1 percent more than last year. For 2012, the company is also planning double-figure growth. In the German sites Lenzkirch, Titisee and Kirchzarten alone, the company intends to create roughly 80 new jobs.
"This growth didn't quite fulfil our own expactations", CEO Burkart Knospe recaps, "but we are still very happy with the result." The results from some of those Western European markets which were especially hard hit by the financial crisis, such as France, Spain and Italy, were weaker than expected. In the other markets around the world, the targets were mostly met, with the Russian market showing particularly favourable results. Testo achieved a growth figure of 75 percent in 2011, making Russia one of Testo's four largest markets.
For the current year 2012, Testo is again planning double-figure growth, "as long as the financial crisis allows", says Knospe. Many innovative new products, for example in the field of thermography or aerosol measurement, are to be launched onto the market, creating new impulses.
Training and qualification for long-term success
Long-term stable growth is only possible with well-qualified experts. To this end, Testo invests heavily in training and qualification. 136 training positions for dual studies or a Chamber of Industry and Commerce apprenticeship were filled by the high-tech manufacturer in the past year in Germany alone. In 2012, this figure will even increase to 170. That is roughly 13 percent of Testo's staff in Germany. The fast growth also offers many possibilities for development. About 80 percent of management positions in 2011 were filled with internal promotions. "This is no coincidence", says the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board, Anne-Kathrin Deutrich. "Encouraging our employees while placing high demands on them is systematic at Testo."
Second construction phase in Titisee
At the beginning of January, roughly 200 employees moved into the new additional site in Titisee, close to Freiburg. With 31 subsidiary companies and over 80 distribution partners, Testo AG is represented all over the world, and has a worldwide staff of roughly 2300.
