The Finland-based AC drives manufacturer Vacon will establish a new subsidiary in the USA. The subsidiary, to be called Vacon, Inc., will be responsible for all Vacon operations in the US region and will integrate TB Wood’s AC drives business into the Vacon Group. Mr Dan Isaksson has been appointed President of Vacon, Inc.

“After the acquisition of the AC drives business of TB Wood’s and establishing a subsidiary in the USA, Vacon is a truly global company. We will have sales on all continents, and R&D and production on three continents,” says Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Vacon.

All Vacon operations in the US market will be organized through the new subsidiary, including sales, marketing, technical support and after-market service, R&D, application engineering, manufacturing and administration. Vacon, Inc. will also be responsible for Vacon Group’s current and future product ranges for the US market.

Dan Isaksson, M.Sc. (El. Eng.), eMBA, Vice President of Corporate Development of Vacon Group, has been appointed President, Vacon, Inc. in the United States. Mr Isaksson will be responsible for Vacon, Inc. and for integrating the AC drives business of TB Wood’s into Vacon Group’s operations.

In his new position, Dan Isaksson will report to Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President, Products and Markets, Vacon. Mr Isaksson will also be a member of the Extended Management Team of the Vacon Group.
