Vortex Iris Valve with Compact Handle Vortex Valves

Vortex® Valves, a Division of Salina Vortex Corporation, introduces the Vortex® Iris Valve™ with a compact handle to control, shutoff, or meter material flow of non-abrasive to moderately abrasive powder, granulars, or pellets in small, compact areas for gravity flow applications. The compact handle Iris Valve is ideal for IBC (intermediate bulk container) applications. Iris Valves are also available with a quick release coupling for the pharmaceutical industry.

The patented Iris Valve design features several trigger lock positions, stainless steel control ring, and stainless steel compact handle for minimal clearance issues and to protect the operator’s hand. The Iris Valve’s form-fitted fabric sleeve provides a tight seal, product barrier, and unobstructed orifice – critical to maintain cleanliness and inhibit material leakage from the actuating parts across the valve or into the atmosphere. The inexpensive fabric sleeves can be easily replaced and are also ideal for closing on delicate or friable material. Vortex Iris Valves are available in 4Ø to 18Ø sizes (100mm to 450mm).
