An immersion heating is designed for the direct heating of a liquid. The heating resistors are in direct contact with the fluid to be heated.
So some information are needed to be able to choose the heating system that suits your
application perfectly.
If a mistake is made in determining the best immersion heater, the main risks involved are:
- excessively long heating time: power too low.
- excessively short heating time: oversized electrical installation.
- destruction of the fluid to be heated: the fluid will not tolerate the power given off by the immersion heater and burns up.
- destruction of the immersion heater: the immersion heater will not tolerate the fluid to be heated; it becomes highly corroded.
