Powered Pallet increases Productivity

With continuing high demand for powered pallet trucks, Yale has announced the introduction of its new MP20XV powered pallet truck with folding platform and side arms – ideal for the fast moving daily distribution and cross-docking market sectors.

The Yale MP20XV is an important addition to its best selling range of AC powered pallet trucks and stackers which have made such an important contribution to increasing productivity in the warehouse. With proven Yale AC Technology, the new powered pallet truck shares the same Dual Combi MOSFET controls with CANbus solid state electronic communication system and the preferred four operator selected performance levels found on the latest Yale warehouse range.

Announcing the new powered platform truck, Yale Europe’s General Manager, Warehouse equipment – Andrea Lucchi said: “The Yale MP20XV sets new standards for AC powered ride-on pallet trucks, with its new independent heavy duty dual castor wheel design, narrow chassis, automatic speed reduction on cornering and ergonomic tiller arm and controls, this truck is already making a significant contribution to the productivity of some of the largest distribution businesses throughout Europe.”

Operators like the flexibility of a powered pallet truck with a fold down platform and optional side arms, which can be easily folded away when not in use. The spring assisted tiller arm and controls give the operator the option to ride-on the platform when travelling longer distances, or to fold the platform away and use the truck in the pedestrian controlled mode when required.

Increased Productivity
Productivity is enhanced by the application of AC technology and the 2kW maintenance free traction motor. Travel speeds of 6.0 Km/h (7.5 Km/hr on the high speed version) offer the performance required in intensive operations, with automatic speed reduction when cornering to promote safe operation. 24V 210 and 315 Ah battery options provide energy in excess of operational requirements for most applications.

Normally only found on more expensive trucks, the automatic regenerative braking is standard on the MP20XV, giving enhanced battery performance. Also standard, is the addition of a creep speed control which provides the operator with greater flexibility when order picking and leads to improved productivity. The optional PIN code operated keypad control records driver preferences, records all operator activity, avoids misuse and allows for different operators to use the same truck on different shifts, whilst eliminating unauthorized use of the truck.
