Memory type position detection with Bestact Yaskawa Controls

  • Memory type position detection with Bestact
A bias magnet built into the floor switch holds the gONh status. When the elevator car goes down, the magnet
actuator on the car again actuates the floor switch and makes gOFFh status. This is the principle of the cage position
detection.

– Cage Position Detection: This function is to identify at which floor the elevator car is currently and to transmit the signal to the elevator control system.

2. Advantage
☞ Memorized during power outage¥¥¥Since the switch holds gONh state by bias magnet even at a power outage,
the memory in CPU can be easily memorized after the power outage
recovered.

☞ Available for high-speed elevator¥¥¥Since a mechanical limit switch causes a breakdown at high
speed, a noncontact switch like PSMM series can solve the problem without any breakages
