New ZIMM screw jack GSZ series with smooth surface ZIMM
For more than three decades, ZIMM has developed and produced spindle type lifting gearboxes and drive elements, which are exported to 40 countries. Product Manager Gebhard Stadelmann describes the reasons for developing the new GSZ gearbox series: "The product benefits of the Z series with cooling fins which were introduced to the market in 2006 rapidly convinced our customers, and the gearbox series established itself very well. For some applications and industries, e.g. the food industry, a smooth gearbox surface which can be easily cleaned was requested. We wanted to close this gap. We developed a new smooth housing in the preferred dimensions which incorporates the improved technology of the powerful Z series."
The GSZ gearbox series is suitable for a lift load from 2.5 to 100 kN and available in rigid or rotating version. One of the major advantages of the new ZIMM screw jack series is easy and clean servicing. Spindle lubrication can be performed during operation by simply placing the grease gun on the filling nipple and pressing in the spindle grease. This brings the grease exactly to the correct position. The selection of the correct, optimum spindle grease is also made easy by ZIMM ¬ it is offered together with the GSZ series. The gearbox itself is sealed and has lifetime lubrication in normal operation. The separate lubrication system is decisive for the high productivity of ZIMM screw jacks. Standard corrosion protection is a further advantage of the Z and GSZ series.
The attachment of the new GSZ series is performed with threaded bores in the gearbox; the Z series can be attached by means of through holes. Integrated swivel eyes allow swivel connection of the Z gearbox directly on the housing. Both have very high performance and service life in common. Benefit for the customer: Improved technology does not mean higher costs. "Due to optimization in the development processes, warehousing and assembly, we are able to offer our recently developed gearbox series at approximately the same price as their predecessors", says visibly pleased Managing Director Gunther Zimmermann.
