With the new actuator drive concepts from ZIMM both the elevation and azimuth axis can be precisely adjusted. The main advantages provided by the ZIMM system is an overall reduction in drive components used for vertical and horizontal movement. For years ZIMM has been supplying innovative screw jack systems and linear actuators to numerous industries worldwide. With the explosion of research and investment into developing Renewable Energy sources, ZIMM has focused its innovated design energy into the development of positioning actuators for the Solar energy industry.

These actuators, and the technology behind them, will be introduced to Solar engineering professionals at the International Intersolar 2009 show in Munich from 27. till 29. May 2009 (Stand: B5.386).

ZIMM-Solar-Actuators are available with DC, or AC three phase or single phase motors. End position limit switches and pulse generators with motion profile programs are integrated and tested prior to shipping. As an added bonus full function encoders are built into all ZIMM-Actuators.
